Thai Foot Massage

The Thai Foot Massage is actually a massage of the lower legs and feet and is done fully clothed in a reclining chair, with just the lower legs exposed to just above the knees. So loose fitting trousers are ideal to wear for this.

This type of massage originated about 2000 years ago and has become an integral part of Traditional Thai Massage. It is well established in Thailand with influences from Japan, Korea, and China and it is still taught and practiced in the temples of Thailand. It has elements of shiatsu, reflexology, Chinese massage and yoga incorporated into the massage itself.

The massage involves hands on stretching and massage, along with the use of a stick to stimulate the reflex points similar to that of reflexology and is typically done with a massage cream.

The Thai Foot Massage stimulates the internal organs via the reflex points, giving the receiver an holistic as well as a relaxing treatment but the client should not feel sleepy and so is ideal for the work place as well as at home.
